NEET 2017 Selection – Aditi Gupta & Raghav Bakshi  Our Ex-Student Raghav Bakshi (269 Rank)  & Aditi Gupta (418 Rank)   cracked NEET 2017. Mast. Raghav Bakshi, Son of Mr Pradeep Kumar Bakshi (Nirmal Hospital) got state rank 269. Ms Aditi Gupta daughter of Mrs Anjali Gupta madam got state rank 418. Both got admission in Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun in MBBS course.

Lieutenant Commander Vartika Joshi (naval architecture) – NDS Ex-Student

India’s first all-women crew set to sail around the world   ” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″] Lt Commander Vartika Joshi, a naval architect, was appointed the first woman Skipper of Mhadei on February 8, prior to the return voyage. Her shipmates are Lt P Swathi, Lt Pratibha Jamwal (Air Traffic Control specialists), Lt Vijaya Devi and Sub Lieutenant Payal Gupta (both Education officers).  The sixth member of the crew, Lt B Aishwarya, is a naval architect and is expected to join the boat shortly.  Read more at:

Eye Donation Awareness Programme

by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute team, one-day awareness programme in NDS  “The objective is to create mass awareness and to bridge the gap between demand and supply of cornea. This is to motivate people to come forward and pledge for eye donation. People should make eye donation as a family tradition ultimately transforming pledges into actual donation after death” Facts about eye donation: # Anyone can pledge for eye donation irrespective of age. # Persons, who have undergone eye surgery or wear lenses can also donate eyes. # Eyes of the deceased can be donated by family even if the person had not pledged for same. # Corneas are to be collected within six hours of death. # The process takes only 10 to 15 minutes, is simple and does not lead to any disfigurement. # Eyes are used for corneal transplant within 72 hours. # With special storage media eyes can be stored for a longer time before being transplanted. # Donated corneas are transplanted following the waiting list, the procedure is confidential. ” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]
